Soil Capital appoints Floor Saris as Chair of the Board
Brussels, March 12, 2026 – Soil Capital, the certified B Corp supporting farmers’ transition to regenerative agriculture while helping businesses gain insight into agricultural performance and land-use risk, today announces the appointment of Floor Saris as Chair of its Board.
With regenerative agriculture now recognised as a business-critical lever for resilience, Soil Capital is strengthening its role as an infrastructure that links farmer-level practice change with verified outcomes and decision-useful data, helping corporates secure long-term access to materials, manage exposure to water and climate risk, and engage farmers.
In this context, Floor Saris brings extensive board-level experience across global agribusiness, sustainable procurement and corporate strategy. She spent two decades at DSM, holding senior roles across strategy, innovation and business development, where she helped embed sustainability into core commercial decision-making. Through her involvement in the Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative (VCMI), she has a strong understanding of how major food and ag companies are navigating rising expectations around climate credibility, market access and risk.
The move also formalises a new leadership structure, separating executive and board roles and strengthening governance as the business continues to mature and expand across key European markets.
Chuck de Liedekerke, CEO and Co-Founder of Soil Capital, said: “As Soil Capital grows, it’s important we put clear board leadership in place. Floor brings the experience and perspective we need at this stage. She understands both the pressures farmers are under and what corporates need from their agricultural supply chains. That balance really matters for how we create long-term value.”
Floor Saris, Chair of the Board at Soil Capital, said: “There are many initiatives in regenerative agriculture, but very few are designed to operate at scale with such integrity. Soil Capital stands out for its ability to support farmers credibly while giving corporates robust, decision-ready insights to secure their supply chains.”
